Meet Nelson – Riverlea’s Contract Administrator

If you've ever wondered what it takes to keep a project as large and dynamic as Riverlea on track behind the scenes, meet Nelson, one of the essential team members helping to make it all happen.

As a Contract Administrator, Nelson’s day-to-day work might not be as visible as the homes rising or the roads being poured, but it’s absolutely vital. With over 15 years of industry experience, Nelson brings a wealth of knowledge to the table, managing everything from subcontractor payments and construction contracts to budget tracking and risk planning.

“It’s more than just numbers,” Nelson explains. “Staying across the financials means we can keep the entire project running efficiently, manage expectations clearly and deliver on time. It’s about making sure every part of the puzzle fits together.”

What excites Nelson most isn’t just the complexity of the work, it’s the people.

“It’s rare to be part of a team where you can genuinely see the transformation happening in front of you. Riverlea isn’t just a job; it’s a community coming to life. There’s a real sense of pride in being part of that.”

Outside of work, Nelson enjoys a more relaxed pace, spending time with family, heading to the beach, going for a run, and watching or playing sports.

When asked to describe the team in one word, Nelson doesn’t hesitate: “Approachable. Everyone here is supportive. Whether it’s collaborating internally or working with external partners, there’s a willingness to help and solve problems together."

One project Nelson is particularly excited about is The Palms Shopping Village. “I’ve been closely supporting that area and can’t wait to see it come to life. It’s going to be something really special for the community.”

As for how the community can continue to support the project, Nelson believes it all comes down to staying connected. “Open communication is key. Let us know what’s working, what you need, and how we can improve. We’re all building this together and the more we hear from residents, the better the outcome will be for everyone.”

So next time you see Nelson around, feel free to say hello. He may be working behind the scenes, but his contribution to Riverlea’s future is front and centre.
